Hello, I have yet another question to try to stump someone with. I have a 1955 F-100 and I've finally got the cab on the new frame. However, it is in horrible condition. I will have to replace all 4 corners, rockers, and patch the rest of the holy hunk of metal!
Because of the terrible state of the cab, the cab twisted a little while moving it. This seems to have effected the drivers side door. When the door is closed, I have a 1/4 -1/2" gap between the rear of the door and the striker. I think I can fix this problem by "squeezing" or making the cab square again. I need to know the measurements of the door opening both inside cowl to cowl and where the rubber from the door meets the cab.
Any help would be appriecieated!!
All cabs are different. The factory adjusted and shimmed so the opening would fit the door. You will have to use the door you have as a reference. You can shim the cab and the door hinge mounts too.
