Do you know how you sometimes wake up, knowing you only have two days of your very own, but you choose to snooze in and out, or watch old movies, and just plain "BLOW OFF" the day? Does that sound familiar?
"I worked for it, I earned it, so screw it!"
Call it a pure "Fiddle Around Day". Nothing is accomplished, nothing much taken care of, I know I will regret it, but it FEELS SO GOOD!
That's pretty much my SOP, Wolfie.....On "day 1"......I usually get the coffee pot started about 1000 (5 min after I wake up).....putz around, drink coffee, eat breakfast...get the paper, play on the "net"......about 1:00pm or 2:00pm....I might do something constructive...but just maybe......Usually "day 2" I might get a project or 2 done.......
When you get up at 0430 every morning like I do......the 1st day off usually involves sleeping in.......
My Saturdays are usally like that I wake up..and then before I know it its 10 already...i see no reason to even get up in the morning but to feel i accomplished somthing by watching some cooking shows here an there...or waking my cat up if I can't find somthing else to do.
I get so few hours of sleep during the week, that Sunday is my sleep in day. I stay in bed until about noontime. Helps me recoup after a hectic week, and I feel refreshed to start another. As for a full weekend of doing nothing. I had one of those this year. Although it was a nice break, I did feel guilty for not doing my usual weekend chores.
