Advice on 4x4 service
1997 ranger 4.0L 73K
I bought it with 60k should I be thinking about servicing transfer case? never had any experience with 4x4 till now. thinking this might be a job for a garage. Any rough estimates on price in the northern New Jersey. I'm in Dover for any Jersite. Any recommendations on garage too? P.S. I will NOT take it to Ford dealership.

Transfer case service is a simple drain and fill.. pull lower plug... drain.. reinstall lower plug.. pull upper plug... fill until fluid trickles out.. reinstall upper plug.
Just make sure to use the correct fluid
