lower control arm bushings

has anyone replaced these before (2wd 2000 lariat) how much of a PITA is it?

I did on my 91 4X4 and it was a PITA. I had to use a ball joint press to do the job. The hardest part I discovered was getting the bolts back into thier places. I had to pry pretty forcefully to realign the bolt holes. A giant spreader between the two front wheels would have made the job a breeze.

If you need a giant spreader in the future, you can use a farm jack with some 2x4's. Might need to use a little rope to hold them up, letting gravity keep a little angle in the process so you can crank on the jack. Shouldn't take too much jacking, though.

FYI... farm jacks are sometimes called "post jacks" or "railrod jacks".
