torque plate

Anyone here broke their torque plate ??I did while towing last week.I thought that the torque converter bolts had just came out(I installed a triple-loc converter 40000 miles ago)but I pulled the trans and the plate was in two .The ford stealership said nobody in the southeast had the part in stock and would take 5 days to get it.Also they wanted to charge 119 for the part plus 45 to overnight the thing.I ended up getting it through a sponsor of this site wabashworktrucks.com for $81.

I don't know what a torque plate is. Do you perhaps mean flex-plate, if so, I've seen a few break on 6.0s. Not many, maybe about 5 or 6 in the past few years.
