2002 Supercrew Radio Problem

Started this afternoon got in the truck turned on the ignition radio came on started the truck put it in gear and the radio dies .Got home the only time the radio will play is in Park and Neutral .Checked all of the fuses and everything is fine . Really need help on this one . Thanks in advance

You probably have a bad TRS (Transmission Range Sensor).
It's on the side of the transmission where the shift linkage goes in. It has 2 screws holding it on and 1 electrical connector.
Try unplugging it and see if the radio works then.

Same problem i had with my F150 and the TRS was bad i unplugged it and my radio worked give it a try it will narrow down your search on what is wrong.

Haven't had this problem with my truck but, have had the identical problem on my wife's `97 Taurus. It was the TRS then on her car. Good luck!

If you can figure out how to make cell phones work like that you'll make a billion dollars. I can see it in the owners manual now "vehicle must be in park for you to use your cell phone".
