THX system vs. stock
I posted this the exp/nav forum but maybe will get more response here. We are looking at 05 navigators and have a couple in mind. One has the THX and one doesn't so what is the real difference?

The THX branding is a pretty successful venture. Literally named by George Lucas during development. Not knowing what to call the project, he unoffically named the venture after the guy who was the lead engineer, Mr. Tomlinson Holman. Thomlinson Holman's eXperiment was dubbed THX. Originally developed by Lucas Films for movie theatre sound systems, its now made it down to many consumer levels. Basicly it's more of a certification label on audio gear indicating that the product meets the THX standards which are much higher than the standards required by CEA, etc. Anything that has the THX label stands to be quality equipment. Manufactures who build their gear to the THX standard reap the benefits of those consumers who seek a higher quality of build standard for their electronics.

Thanks for the reply I acutally have a onkyo THX certified home receiver myself. I was just wondering if their is any component difference between the two in the ford world or just THX on the speaker covers.
