checking oil pressure
Hot idle?
Cold idle?
1500 rpm?
3000 rpm?
You should have about 20psi at hot idle, around 55-60psi cold start, and about 40+ over 2000.
Basic spec is 10psi per 1000 rpm for enough lubrication but they put out more pressure than that when the oil system is functioning properly.
And hope you guys didn't take it the wrong way, I never ment to suggest it wouldn't work, just that it might not...and we don't have anything to compair it to unless you did put an oil gauge in it. So I'm just curious what you have for pressures...
How difficult was it to get the fittings to make it to the block? Some people might have a hard enough time with that that it would be more beneficial for them to just go spend $15 on an oil pressure gauge at the store that has the fittings with it.
Wouldn't be a great gauge but it'll work.
Autometers are around $80, or atleast mine was.
