thanks,
Jimmy
PS here is the list of thngs i need to do.
1. I need to get the reverse lights working properly (it looks like somone had a toggle switch hooked up for them at one time but i would liketo get them working properly but if i have to ill do the toggle switch method.)
2. I need to get my 4way flashers working. (The blinker dont make any clicking noise or anything.)
3. I need to get my brake lights working (both sides dont work)
As a side note my parking lights all work (they work in the taillights and everything) my side marker lights work, all 4 turn signal lights work.
I got my driverside mirror fixed (it only had a bracket on it and no mirror)! other then thoes things i need to fix the truck is about ready for inspection. I am trying to get thoes things fixed asap so i can get it inspected because i only have 10 days to get all of that done before its illeagle to drive.
thank you guys for all of the help you guys have been to me i really apriciate your help!
It's best to keep everything together so we don't have threads all over the forum with the answers already in them.
I have already answered:
the NSS/BU light thread
The Hazard Light thread.
Brake Lights:
Check the brake switch on the pedal and the wiring to it (red/black stripe).
One side should always be hot, the other side should be hot with the switch plunger OUT.
And when you're done checking what Million said...pull the sockets out of the back of the truck...remove the grounding bolt and sand the metal underneath and perhaps replace the ring terminal. Maybe even use a jumper wire from the existing ground to a fresh new one on the frame of the truck. That's what I had to do....Good luck!
I had a broken turn-signal switch on a tilt column that kept my brake lights from working - jiggling t/s lever while pushing brake pedal would cause them to flicker.
hey guys i got my brake lights working! Also got the hazzards working. only thing left will be the backuplights. thanks guys I really apriciate your help!
thanks,
Jimmy
