Motor Noise Level...

Figured I'd start a new thread on this instead of hijacking the DP related thread.

Some one mentioned that they though that their motor was significantly louder with the chip in any seting besides stock. I agree with this.

So the question comes, would the pre-pump mod and a HPX line reduce the noise down to a stock level?

I would assume that all chips increase the noise level.

Any other thoughts?

My guess is that they advance the timing of the injection and that always makes the diesel rattle more pronounced.
The HX and pre-pump mod will help a ton, but you will always be able to tell the difference.

As a user who has the DP-Tuner, HX-mod, and pre-pump mods, I agree with Kwik 100%. The HX and pre-pump mods both worked great, but there is a distinct difference in the idle tone over stock.

I think of it as more aggressive then louder..

ill let you know on the hpx this weekend i still havent put mine in..
