Spewing White Smoke (sorry w/o search I could not reasonably look for myself)
I bought a used F350 6.0L 125,000 miles. I flushed the radiator to baseline when it was last done. A lot of gunk came out. Two days later, it started SPEWING out white smoke. I assumed it was water in the combustion. Decided that the gunk that was sucked out must be stop leak, and put in 2 bottles (reccomended amount) of Barrs Heavy Duty. Completely went away. Problem gone.
1. Can i just use my truck with the Barrs in it? Maybe flush and change once per year?
2. Other than a block, head or head gasket... were could the water penetration come from?
3. With Diesel compression so high, and not having ANY overheating problem, even pulling a 6 horse trailer... could it really be the head or head gasket?
4. Could it be real, real low in the block and have been getting "sucked in" on the down stroke, then compressed just fine?
5. Could it be leaking in somewhere else... like the turbo intercooler seal or somewhere like that?
No power problems. No starting problems. Would just like some friendly opinions.
