So let me get this straight, you had a 440 that actually got 44 mpg?

Yup! We never touched the engines except to redirect exhaust heat into the copper vapourizer and the fuel inlet into the carb. We never changed anything except a full tuneup before we did it. Had to tweak the timing a bit in mine, because I ran colder plugs (west coast of Canada is humid and cooler, than the Prairies.)

But that's it. No big coils, or cam changes, nada.

That is insane, I want to try that on a vehicle, was it pretty hard to do? How complicated was it? What did you do with the car? I think I would have wanted to keep that one lol

I put a few links up there before. I think there's even one site that has an email from when I lived in Mexico, saying the same thing. I bought the booklet from a mail order ad in a Home Business magazine or a car mag, way before the Internet. No I didn't keep the car. I bought a New Yorker before that, and then a Plymouth Wagon, and finally a Dodge Van, before I moved to Mexico for almost 5 years. Sorry. I hope to try it again some time, unless I get rich and stupid or too old.
