i have a 1995 with 530 hybirds injectors and a 6 position chip it started white smokeing real bad and had a real bad idle and oil is leaking from the turbo could it be a blown piston or turbo?
I would vote the turbo has puked. 530's would be enough to build more boost than the turbo can handle. white smoke can also be antifreeze burning. head gasket or cavitated cylinder. any check engine light? like cuda asked was the truck running good after the mods were installed then this started?
yea it was running good no CEL i parked it and i seen that it was smokeing alittle bit just idleing and really did not think nothing about it it was a little cold so i took it down the track and at the end i heard something and then seen alot of white smoke
That sound you heard was likely the wind pump saying "Bye Bye". I followed a Dart truck across two states blowing white & smelling like a bug smoker after he puked something in the turbo.
You say "taking it down the track"......as in racing? If you were pushing it hard and heard 'something', I agree, the turbo took a dump or what ever was causing the white smoke b4 taking down the track.

i took the turbo off today and it had little side to side play i turned it over and it sounded like it was knocking i have no clue what ist is i am hopeing it is a turbo what do yall think is their a way to check if it is a piston? NEED YALLS ADVICE.
Was the knocking when the truck was running or jsut when you has the turbo off the truck you flipped the turbo over and it was knocking? Or you put the starter back on and started the truck and it was knocking? Also the turbo should have nearly zero side to side movement. As in not be able to feel it with your bare hands
my vote goes to the turbo. especially since you got oil coming out the exhaust. if you had no oil i would be thinking a head gasket but you sound fine.
better start shopping for another lung for that beast.
i would concentrate on that and making sure that is right then fire it up. if you still have problems then look other places.
fwiw most of the time when a head gasket goes on a stroke it starts blowing the white. you are fine to keep running but once you shut it down thats it you gotta fix it or you will window the block if it starts or tries to start the next time.
Whos injectors? Heavy white smoke is most likly fuel, could be blown oring or could be a broken nozzle. Fuel could look like oil coming out the turbo mixing with soot and turning black.
What turbo? If stock then it could have issues. Spin the shaft and look at the end of it and see if it wobbles like it is bent.
dps injectors and heavy white swmoke but it is oil comeing out of the turbo but when i took it off i looked into the y pipe wear each pipe meet and i seen a little oil in the pipe.
