Central Locking

Having a lot of electrical problems with my truck lately. Front passenger door will not open with the remote or the master switches on drivers door and passenger door. All other locks work fine from switches and remote.
Lately, had the door sensors cleaned in the shop because Door Ajar light remained on while driving. Could the process of cleaning the sensors affect the central locking system in a single door?
Is it possible to repair myself?

sounds like the lock actuator in the drivers door is drt. easy to replace remove door panel,(give a pint of blood )check for power at lock actuator when using lock switch
