As long as they have the same bell pattern, and have the married t-case, they will swap no issue. If you are swapping the motor in with the trans, no issue. Otherwise, it needs to be the same bell, 351M-400, 429 460 trade, 302 351W 300 I6 trade.

well I'm not worried about those little problems....BUT, now I know that a bell housing from an I/6 is something I can use!, so if I find one, it's good to throw on the parts pile!....awesome!
BTW, I'm talking about a manual tranny bell, I stay AWAY from automatics....no fun to drive for me!
