There are no DRL on the F-150 in the US. You'll need to ask your canadian friends. You might also want to put that info in your next message. Many people do not look at your location info.

I find them a PITA. At least in my KIA, when the e brake is on, the DRL will turn off. Not the case with my truck and it gets annoying sitting in the parking lot at A&W with my lights on all the time.
first off, the years long studies thanks to our canadian friends have shown DRL's don't cut down on accidents. Second, I would check with your canadian law enforcement to see if the mounties would have a problem with them not on... third, there should be a spot on your under hood power panel for a relay for DRL's. If you insist on having them, you could get the relay and put it in. I know on my focus there is a spot for DRL relay shown in the owners manual, and an empty spot there under my hood.
the reason I want them is because my AUTO light switch is not as sensitive as I want it to be. It rains alot where I live and it'll be nearly dark out and the AUTO thing still won't turn the lights on.
Combine that with a white truck in the gloom, and I'm almost invisible
If I understand you properly all you have to do is remove a stand alone relay to de activate the Driving lights???
If so where is this relay located??
When removed do the automatic lights still work properly?
The relay is located on the inside of the left fender under the hood, which relay to pull depends on if you have 4x4 or not. My owner's manual listed as R201. Make sure you pull the relay that is listed as DRL only, as there are 3 different relays that list DRL(the other 2 relays also operate other features)
Auto headlights still function after relay is removed.
thanks, I will try it out this weekend. I always hate ideling in a parking lot waiting with the lights on. It wouldn't be so bad if they would turn off like they did in the older Fords with the Parking Brake.
