hey guys!
i know i've seen the kits, but i cant seem to find one.
what i'm looking for is a coolant filter kit. or if someone has made their own on the cheap, how did they do it?
Yes, i have that too. The install is really easy. If you drain the radiator down below the water pump access port, (3-4 gallons), then you won't have any mess at all. Then just pour that back into the recovery tank and you're good to go. It's about time i replace my filter, it's been on there for a while.
Dieselsite coolant filter here too. I'm quite pleased with it. Install was easy and it seems to work. Like Alan, I was suprised how much crud the first filter pulled out. I also like that the filter base has some extra ports on it, like for use with a coolant temp sensor if you wanted to add an external gauge.
