V10 engine
I have a V10 in a 1999 class a motorhome chassis with 91000+ miles. I have a whirring / clicking noise in right side, cam, valve cover area on the front, where the gear / chain would be. When I shut engine down there continues a whirring, clicking, clacking sound for half a second or so after the engine has stopped. Engine runs fine, no missing etc. Just had plugs replaced last couple of weeks, but don't believe that is related. Any thoughts?

Pre 2002 V10 and other Ford modular engine has had spark plug blow out issue. It is a good rule of thumb to recheck the plugs. Ticking sounds like a plug getting ready to blow or a exhaust leak. A whirring sounds has me stumped. Not sure how to imagine that.
