backup lights not working

I have a 2000 F550 and up until a week ago my backup lights worked. I am just wondering if there is a plug or something that is common for this to happen and I could start there before I start tracing back the wires.

Perhaps your neutral safety switch is out of adjustment. Its located on the side of the transmission and may have spun a bit and is not aligning with the contacts when the gear selector is in the reverse position...Also, have you checked your fuses? Good Luck...

Not to be sarcastic, but maybe check the bulbs themselves, though both going out at the same time is less likely.

Never thought to check the fuse, the trans is automatic if that makes a difference.

no fuses blown and lights are not burnt out
