Can anyone tell me the proper location all of the stock dash switches in a 53 F100. I have a combination of new repro switches and will be using a few custom switches as well. I am particularly curious where the ignition key switch and the starter push button go. I thought it was obvious but my repro ignition switch from Mid-Fifty does not seem to fit correctly in any location.
Thanks, that helps a lot. I have a feeling my repro ignition switch is one of those kinda fits several years of truck deals. I'll have to shim it up just a bit to so it will sit still when I turn the key.
I don't see any reason why your throttle and choke ***** couldn't be made to work with a 302 provided you have a manual choke carb. Keep in mind, though, that the throttle **** is not intended to be a "poor man's cruise control" on the highway, it's there to control engine speed when running the power take-off or when you are trying to match speeds with a tractor or combine in a field. When you set up the hand throttle, just put a slip collar in there so it doesn't interfere with normal operation of your foot throttle.
I would very much appreciate a digital PIC. I have some switches that I am not sure if stock or not. Would like to put the ones that are stock back where they came from.
