Hello,

You need to double check that VIN #, it would not come up on the Oasis system.

It's a report that shows the history of repairs from dealerships on a particular vehicle. It's an acronym for something, I just don't know what it stands for.

It was explained to me that it's a report for warranty repairs, but won't capture 'other' repairs. 'Other' repair information is the property of the individual dealership and doesn't have to be reported on the OASIS.

Again, that's how it was explain by my SD before I bought our vehicle.

I think it stands for Online Automotive Service Information System.....
or something very close to it.

I just went to my local Ford dealer service dept. I had the VIN of the vehicle off it's list ad. They looked it up and printed it out for me.

You can take your VIN to the service advisor/parts dept and have them look it up. Every time your vehicle is in for service, recall or repair they enter the work done on your vehicle into the data base. Ford keeps it updated for 10 years. (I think) After that, it is no longer updated or accessible. (Again, I think that is accurate)

If I was buying a car from a dealership, I would positively have them pull the OASIS report on any Ford vehicle I would be interested in. Too many people don't have a clue that it exists.
