Climate Control Problem
Hey all, I have a 91 F-150 XLT. The Climate Control will only blow air out the deftrost setting. It will turn off if I switch it to off but will not blow out vent, floor, etc. Any ideas on what the problem may be and how to fix it. Thanks!

the vacuum line has a leak.
remove glove box and look at hose and if ok look under hood.

Is it also possible that the control head is bad?

maybe, but probably not.
do a search on heater control.
it is more than likely a vacuum leak.
just follow all the hoses and you will see that one is not connected or cracked.

OK, I found out I need a Vacuum Reservoir Cannister (looks like a coffee can.) Any ideas on where to get one? I have scoured the internet and can't find one anywhere.

you can get a catalog with you first order.

I just wrapped duct tape around the can covering the holes. Works like a charm now. Does this can have something to do with cruise control as well??

Cruise control on my truck is a second can on the driver's side.

could be fuse or wiring or clock spring in steering column or vacuum leak that causes cruise not to work.
that was a real Red Green fix you made with the duct tape.
