I drive a 2002 f-150 supercab 4x4, went muddin the other day and now it seems different and broken I'll be driving on the street 2wd of course, and i'll stop and then go and it seems to clunk from the rear, i can feel it and kinda hear it. I'm hoping its not bad but i find its usually the worst case. I'm thinking/ hoping its the rear driveshaft u joints? Could it be the rear end? Yours guys's help would be appreciated
I would start by inspecting the U-joints. Do a search on "slip yoke" in this forum, I believe that this part caused a similar problem in these trucks and was easily fixed by a special kind of grease.
