my 1990 f150 windshield wipers only worked on high, so i replaced the switch and still only on high it would work, well tonight it just stopped and nothing now. any help would greatly be appreciated.
Oh I don't have any great advice, my wipers went a few months ago, and we haven't had time to get them fixed.
I love rain-x thou, that and a small squeegee have gotten me by so far, but gotta do something with winter coming, I don't think the rain x has any effect on snow.
Good luck, oh, and change the motor, I'm looking for prices after I get home from work this morning.
Make sure that you are getting 12V to the wiper motor before replacing the motor. It is necessary to remove the cowl to replace the motor and the motor is expensive.
I believe that the high speed wiper position bypasses the module. And he said that the wiper wouldnt work on slow speed--but that the high speed wipe worked--originally. And subsequently--the wipers wouldnt work in any speed position..
I would still suggest checking for 12v with the wiper on high speed. It is much easier to check than checking the module. If there is no battery--check the fuse and then check the module.
