Breakerless Distributor
Have newly rebuilt 302 in 54F100, trying to go stock breakerless distributor, but not sure of the wiring. Has 3 wires coming out of dist.: black with red stripe, black with purple stripe, and solid black. Will be using ballast resistor. Was thinking I could wire directly to coil byway of ballast. Any ideas for sure on color code and connection, ie pos/neg sides of coil??

hi ya jim..i also am the proud owner of a 54 ford f-100 with a nice lil 302.im retired and have been a welder all my life know nothing about cars but can learn ..im really stumped with the wiring need alot of help for sure,,lots of backyarders here helping but no real knowledge..i do plan to go beakersless like you..but we havnt got it fired up yet even..no wires anywheres have to run then all from scratch..just like to hear it run once ..lol..any help appreciated

well good news finally..hey i talked with alot of rodders and what i got was a Malloery unlite conversation kit..summitt 99.99 i got the wire harness thru EZ wiring the new colored coded one 185.00 so excited now..
