hey guys i need help i have 95 f150 at wot it boggs and never revvs to full rpm if i let off gas just about 1/2 in then it will climb ,i have replaced coolant temp , tps , checked timing , tried a new pc ,fuel pressure on pumps are 45 psi ( this model has 1 pump per tank none on chasis ).....along with this when temps are below 40 degrees it just spins and hit once or twice , once it does crank blows black smoke out like it was too rich , everything a coolant temp seems to control but like i said its new ..................ANY IDEAS HELP
Have you pulled codes yet? If not, I'd start with that to see if the computer is complaining about anything. If you've never pulled the codes before, run a google search for "eec-iv self test" and follow the instructions.
yes pulled codes only thing out of ordinary was the 02's , when koef they were minus readings , i am a mechanic by trade but that was a first for me seeing that responce other then that no other codes showing and all my data while running is showing within specs .........thats the reason i am so lost ..........i have had about 3 regular mechanics and 1 so called master tech and no one yet has figured out my problem
maybe a yr or so but havent put but around 2500 miles on it then , havent drove it much since all this , everything was done from plugs and wires , cap and rotor , to setting base time , clean fuel throttle plates,i 've even done a compression test , when and if it cranks and starts to run well once i get it out on the road running is fine untill i need to accelerate a bit and then it acts as if the trans is jumping or the gas is running out , but once again fuel pressure is 40*45 psi and trans has no codes at all
Check the voltage output of the throttle position sensor across its sweep, with the key on, engine off. The voltage should increase smoothly from around 0.9V at closed throttle to ~4.5V at full throttle measured between the signal wire and the ground wire of the TPS harness while still plugged into the main harness.
