can i remove it?

Ive tried to search all the past posts but i couldnt find an answer so heres the question. I have a 93 f-150 5.0 4x4. when the exhaust comes from the maifold's and meets i have what apears to be a cat with a sensor in it. then about 2 feet of pipe and what appears to be a second cat. then several feet of 2.5 inch pipe and muffler and exits out in front of passenger tire. Are both of these cats? also are both of them needed? i relize i need the first one prob for the sensor, but could i remove the second one and just run it to the muffler? would i gain anything by doing this. Also with out the muffler off its sounds sweet but with the high flow muffler on it seems to take away from the sound. is that sensor really needed. I have in the works a total exhaust rebuild but not for a few months because i would like to stay married for a while.lol. she allready complains that i have the "tinkering" disease. When i look up on LMC for a new pipe set up it shows mmy truck only having the one cat.

You only NEED the one with the sensor in it. Run straight pipe to delete it...If your state runs an emmision test, you may or may NOT pass it without it, but there's only one way to know. Leave the muffler off too if it sounds better. I removed the muffler from my 250 diesel. Sounds great.
