ok hope someone can give me a little help and or a little advise.heres some history of the problem. towing my trailer (toy hauler) things would be fine, then come to a stop or try to pass someone hit the throttle and nothing no turbo boost, sometimes the boost come on at about 2800-3000 rpms.now it would not do it every trip but it started doing it more and more often.posted a thread about the problem back in early july(no boost when towing) got some advice, could be turbo sticking.replaced turbo, and added an exhaust system(banks monster 4" turbo back).the truck seem to have more power and better throttle response, every thing was good or so i thought. two weeks ago first trip to the desert and it did it again,no boost, then this last weekend took a friends wave runners to the col.river and no problems at all.then today nov.6th it was hot here in so cal. driving home from work just cruising on the freeway 65-70mph for about 45min.got off the freeway stopped at a light went to go and nothing no boost. i stopped in a parking lot and let it idle for awhile hoping to cool down the turbo, but still nothing. got home let the truck sit and cool off. went for a ride,no boost at first but slowly would start picking up and then back to normal. allmost like it was plugged up or something, i also noticed the tone of the exhaust was deeper when the problem would happen. so does anyone know what could be the problem and what i need to check? oh ya the truck has 110,000 miles on it ,so no warranty, its a 2003 f- 350 4x4 6.0 L thanks
First thought that comes to mind is EGR valve is plugged up and sticking. Will cause a no power scenario. Also could be coking of the EGR cooler, EBP Sensor, EBP tube, Throttle plate.
