I finally pinpointed the problem with my truck. Took it to a shop near by my house and they told me I had 3 bad injectors. I was reading the post prior to this about injector pricing, and I'm wondering where the one guy found his injectors for $150. The lowest I was able to find them were $250 and they ranged all the way up to $380. I pulled all 8 tonight and I'm going to pay $20 a piece to test the remaining 5. Please help me save some loot. Thanks.

Yeah, I ordered 8 of them immediately after amiller93's post. $975 after shipping costs. Not bad considering the fact that I got all 8 for the price of 3 from the local Ford dealership. Thanks a bunch guys. Can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

3 bad injectors? As in what? Bad spray pattern? Without it being out, how do you know what it is? I have an MB with 1 injector that has low pop off pressure and spray pattern. How did we determine this? Took all 6 injectors to a diesel shop and they tested them and told me what they found. Took that one injector apart, cleaned it and it passed. Testing and cleaning fee $73

I can only wish this would happen to my wife's Excursion! Then the conversation would go something like, "Well honey, the injectors went south on the Ex. Ford wants (insane price) to replace them, or I can upgrade and get the Stage 2 single shots from Beans Diesel Performance!"
