Hey Guys I have a 2001 Lincoln Navigator, I had the oil changed today at 66426 miles, it was running excellent before than and is running excellent now but by the end of the day the service engine soon light came on and did not go off. It seems to run the same as it has been I checked the oil stick it look fined. I am clueless as to what happened. Is this something program in the vechicle for servicing purpose or is something wrong with my truck Please help any ideas are greatly appreciated
I had a similar issue with my '01 Expedition, and I took it to the dealership where I'd recently had it serviced. It was the PCV that was loose and causing the engine to run lean.
Personally, I'd take it to someone who has a scanner and find out what the problem is.
I went to autozone last night and the codes read running lean banks 1 and 2, any clue what that means, I checked the gas cap it was fine, and I had also installed a air filter that morning it seem fine as well.
