With thanks to Super08 for posting the link to the '08 order guides, I noticed a few things of interest.
Wide frame w/56 CA. The 450 & 550 series had straight frame rails to facilitate aftermarket bodies (stake, van, etc.). Does the new 450 pickup use the same straight rails, or is this frame modified to allow use of a standard pickup box? One or the other needs to be different, and I believe there was some issue with the CA being different as well. I recall that the aftermarket pickup body vendors added a little to the front of the bed to fit the longer CA of 450/550 configs.
Wide track front axle. Is this because of the budd wheels (which amounts to a spacer added to the same front axle used in SRW units), or some new animal entirely?
6 ton jack! Finally a jack that will lift a loaded truck. Nice.
Overall I like the 450 concept. Just wish I could get it in regular cab.

yes you can order a new f450 with a pickup box. and the spacers on the front wheels are so you can rotate the tires. without the spacers, you would need 2 different wheels and tires for spares.
