Bought a shift **** off a guy over on the HAMB that hand casts these from aluminum using lost wax casting method. excellent craftsmanship. I thought the "pilot" theme would go good in my truck. Arent we all "test pilots" with these old rigs? lol
And as i suspected, my wife doesn't like it. haha Now i just need the rest of the interior!!
I realize moon eyes and eight-***** are no longer cool, but what is the fascination with death-head skulls? I would think people would like something fun that celebrates life - not death.
Your choice, of course - but I agree with your wife, and would feel like washing my hands every time I shifted.
Coulrophobia ?? i had to go look that one up!!
Coulrophobia is a mental condition concerning the fear of clowns and mime artists
thanks for the comments, My dad and I made the dash gauge panel because I didnt want to cut up the dash to fit more gauges. It was kind of a pain, we welded some sheetmetal to the thick column support. after some grinding , filler and paint it came out pretty good. I need to make a column cover to cover up the turn signal and ignition switch

Dittos. If I was going to have a body part for my hand to hold, it sure wouldn't be that.
Now if that was a pretty ladies head with flowing hair that would be great.
With the skull I think that I would probably be hessitant about shifting gears.
