I talked to Pat in person on October 14th at an F100 show in Chimney Rock and he said then it was going to be in Knoxville in 07. Now there will also be a F100 Show in Pigeon Forge in 07. It will be Fathers Day weekend at the Smoky Shadows Hotel and convention center on the south end of Pigeon Forge. Now things could change but that was the word from the "horse's mouth" 3 weeks ago. Donald, keep us posted on the show in June. I dont need much of a reason to drive to the Smokies. Brian...
There will likely be flowers for the show at the F100 Nationals. It is at the Smokey Shadows Motel and Conference Center in P-Forge June 22 and 23rd. Reservation number is 1-800-282-2121. You need to state you are with the Great Smoky Mountain F100 Run Truck show to get the reduced room rate. As I get more info I will share.
Can anyone tell me why a club would move their September show from North Carolina to Pigeon Forge about a month after the Supernats? Is there a vendetta or vengeance towards Pat Ford that we don't know about? Seems like all this will do is split up the attendees. I am about 13 hours away from there and could no way afford to attend twice. Especially with current gas prices. Like the Supernats or not, you have to admit that classic Ford trucks get a big shot in the arm because of the Supernats. If this new show is successful, will the Supernats go under? Will the people who favor the Supernats boycott the new show? There are some veterans that still boycott the show because it was moved to Knoxville. I am just worried that this fightng among the ranks will serve no purpose except make other brands of classic trucks more popular.
Hopefully this show is just supposed to be a wake-up call to Pat Ford to fix what is wrong with the Supernats.
