i have 3 popup blockers turned on on my computer, and only allow popups from certain sites, fte being one of them.
but the newcarseeker.com popups that come through fte every 20 minutes are VERY ANNOYING. is there anything you can do to block this website from throwing their unwanted garbage at us every 20 minutes??
i thought so. i have it set to allow popups from fte because my computer sees the view all smilies as a popup.
the wierd thing about that carseeker.com site is that i only get them when on fte. not anywhere else.
OK. thanks . i was pretty sure that popups were not allowed here. this is one i will have to dig deeper into to see where it is coming from and what triggers it.
my advice would be to clean house on your computer, and start running Opera 9 as your internet browser. This thing is (almost) bulletproof. It's probably not coded a heck of a lot better than the others, but no one attacks it, because it accounts for ~1% of internet traffic. Ultra smooth, and cool.
Its actually coded a lot better than the others. Faster, smaller executable size (a lot smaller), more features, better standands compliance and its ahead of the others when it comes to features. They ushered in many of the features other browser claim to have invented.

If you have a bug " I think you do " It dosent matter what url you go to.
It hits open ports not websites your browsing.
i found the offending bugger this morning at 3;30 am.
it seems that on Saturday afternoon, i left the computer logged onto fte when i went back out to the garage, and my daughter in law came in and logged on to new car seeker . com to look at cars. ( i found this out later today)
well ,she did not want to close fte, so she opened the site in another box, and it attached its cookie to the fte cookie, so every time i opened fte, i opened the other site also.
so i got rid of it by deleting all cookies, and ran spybot and ad aware in safe mode, then rebooted the puter and logged in to fte again.
