Well after years of work I finally drove it up and down the back alley, first time in 16 years that it has run under it's own power.
Felt great. Pictures are in my gallery under it moves under it's own power. I got the recovered seat in as well I had our local upholstrey shop recover it in a grey velour.

Thanks for the kind words Guys and Gals. Yes Randy that is snow on the ground and yes the garage is heated. I have a natural gas furnace as well as a wood burner in the garage, so there isn't any reason that it is too cold. Ferguson the red is the origonal color Vermillion red, I will have the glass in and the front fenders on this coming week they will be in black. Then I have the box to go. I am going to use a wood floor in it.
Good going Don!! Great feeling isn't it? I had to laugh at your pictures tho - I thought I was the only nut that drove around like that. I had about 10 miles on my 48 with no box and no fenders. Hood wired down, no glass, etc - just about like your's. Enjoy each moment with the old rig, you've earned every smile!

That's one sharp lookin truck! Like that red. I'll bet you sleep with a big grin on your face every night. I know i sure would. Congrates. on a great job.
Having just made my own maiden voyage down the driveway a few weeks ago I share your joy. It is a great feeling to know that all your work has come to fruition...
Congratulations Don; hope to see your project soon. I got my linkage problem solved , I think. I shortened the cable, hopefully there is enough clearance with the pedal for full throttle.
Got your messages this weekend, I'm back Dec 1, talk to you then.
Congrats Don!
Love the Red! I, living here in UGA Bulldog Central hereby state my approval of the Red and Black color scheme.......really, if the rest of the truck goes together looking as good as what you're driving in the alley, she's going to be the envy of everyone of us!
