2000 3.0 fl fuel Ranger
Just for the heck of it, did you check your fuel pressure? If you don't have a gauge handy, then do this:
Turn the key on... wait 10 seconds then turn it off.. then repeat.
Find the fuel test port on top of your engine (same type of valve as on your tires)... remove the cap and press in the valve with a small screwdriver...
If fuel just trickles out (or nothing at all comes out) then you've got no pressure... you've likely had a tripped inertia switch or a bad pump.
If it sprays out all over the place (be careful not to get it on you) then you're probably got another problem... possibly a cam sensor or crank sensor.
Typically when a ford fuel pump fails, it will deliver next to no pressure (there are exceptions, but typically when they go bad they completely go bad).
Have you tried starting it with the MAF unplugged? What did your plugs look like?
