2002 explorer excessive high idle speed

2002 explorer excessive high idle speed
I have a 2002 explorer and yesterday the idle got stuck at 4500 rpm! There are no codes and the gas peddle does not impact the throttle at all. It is like stuck at full! Cant drive it or move it because the power overwelms the brakes. What could be wrong and any ideas how to fix it short of towing to the dealer? thanks
