taurus frame?

taurus frame?

hey guys , i am finally getting my 51 and was wondering if a taurus frame was a possible replacement for the original or at least the front clip? i have one handy so thought i might try. thanks

The taurus doesn't have a frame and it is front wheel drive, so that one won't work if you would like to keep the truck rear wheel drive.

Anything wrong with the original? It's much easier to modify it than replace it.

I agree with Vern, an original or boxed original frame works just fine.

Put the Taurus clip in the rear! Put a bed cover over the engine. Rear engined rear wheel drive, now that would be different!

sorry guys , i wasnt thinking about the taurus being front wheel drive, just available.
but i will probably use it to trade for parts. i havent pulled the truck to the shop yet so dont know if the frame is good or not.

May be able to use the seat and steering column along with switches, interior lights, AC, radiator, wiper motor, pedals, sound system, brake MC, other misc parts. Someone here is using a Taurus SHO engine converted to RWD.
