I could be wrong but I think one is full time so you only have 4 hi and 4 lo. The other is part time so it also has the 2 hi and nuetral in addition to the two 4x ranges. I could be wrong. Oh I think one was chain drive and the other was gear drive. Could be wrong there too though.

are we talking about a bw1345 or bw1356? These are both chain drive with high/low range. They're lightweight, and both have a lower low range gear. The 205 is stronger, heavier and has less of a low range gear, and requires an insulated mount to the frame rail.(the BW's do not, they just "hang" off the tranny) You'll find out, though, that the BW tcases may have a different ujoint setup than the 205, so expect driveshaft mods to that, as well as length.

ok? i am confused the borg warner i have the number on the adapter between the tranny and case is 13-01-088-901 and the number on top of the tranny is 13 01 097 806 it dosent seem the be chain drive it has plates you can take off for pto or? just like the 205 and it mounts to the frame just like the 205 it dosent seem light it took 2 guys and some grunting to get it in the truck i also noticed that the stick shifter is differnt that most none of my extra ones will work it looks like it just screw's in rather than the half turn and lock in

On the tcase, look on the back down low by the rear yolk, is there a number there? Secondly, the BW's I'm talking about are Tcases, as this is what I thought you were referring to. Thirdly, any tcase shifter should be a bolt through the shifter threading into the tcase adapter. Fourth, what year tcase are we talking about?

New Process 205

The NP 205(gear drive) was used both married and divorced. I'm not sure about the NP 203. As far as I know, all the newer T cases are married
