PCV housing & Spark plug question
First, the housing around my pcv valve is not sealing well allowing crankcase gases to escape, can I get a replacement/from where? I've not had much luck searching the 'net.
Second, my gas mileage sucks - I get 12.2, all the time - 88 4.9L 5spd. I thought I'd pull a plug and see if they looked worn (couldn't hurt). Both the plugs and wires looked fine, my question is: can a plug/wire look fine (match the NORMAL picture in any chilton's manual) and still need replacement? I'll probably go ahead and swap them out anyway, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks!

As for your gas mileage. I had a 94 F150 Supercab, 2WD, 5 Speed 4.9 and all I could get was 12.5 mpg. Loaded, unloaded, A/C on A/c Off It didn't matter. Mileage never changed. Anyway that truck was stolen, and now I have a 92 F-150, 4WD, 4.9, 5 Speed STD cab, and I get 13-14.5 mpg. This one is pretty steady as well. I've heard of people getting it the 16-18 mpg, but I never have. If you figure out how to increase mileage please let me know too.
