R10F overdrive
I just acquired a 3 speed trans with overdrive. It's a T86E-IN tranny with an R10F-1B overdrive. The solenoid is 12 volt so I assume it's post ‘56. The trans came out of a car (it has the tail piece mount) and I want to put it in my 292 driven ‘54 F100. Does anyone know what this trans was in originally (then I could get the shop manual for the od info)? Also, can I put the overdrive on my truck 3 speed (so I can use the big clutch instead of the car clutch)? If not, how much trouble is it to switch the input shaft's on the transmission? Finally, does anyone have a source for parts/service for these od's? The overdrive mainshaft is bent (maybe from being stood on end) and will need to be straightened or replaced.
