tps help

to remove the TPS on a 93 5.0 dosent look very easy seems like a heater hose is in the way? what should be taken off or not taken off to remove? Also in the book it says that it will need to be adjusted after installing a new one is this true?

You will have to take off the throttle body and then remove the TPS from it.
As far as needing to be adjusted after installing a new one most are not adjustable. Some in the 80's had slots and you adjust them.
Just check and make sure the voltages fall with in range from closed to WOT and the voltages change very smooth from about .9V to about 4.8 Volts.

Yeah your right about the book saying you need to ajust it. Like Subford said they dont need ajusting if your truck 89 [I think]and later. If you look at your tps once off or the new one your installing, you will notice it only has the two screw holes tt mounts to the throttle body.{no room to adjust] but there is a certain way to hook it up before you screw it to the trottle body. [ in the process of changing mine]
