Wink How to remove tailgate from '94

How do I remove the tailgate from my 1994 F150??

Open it, slide off the cables at the top (where they attach to the bed), and while holding the tailgate, wiggle the right side loose from the mount. It's got a slotted hole that it comes out of...and the left side will pop out when you get the right side out.

Be careful, first time you might want a partner.

The hinge disengages at about the tailgate half way down point.

Thanks guys!!!! I knew this couldn't be that hard-I'd seen it done, but never really paid much attention as to HOW.
The reason I'm needing to take the tailgate off momentairly is to install my new LED light "bar" that extends almost end to end under the tailgates bottom lip-incorporates running lights, brake, and turn signals (and looks pretty cool, too!!!!)
