Ok so I am new to the ford game. I just got a 87 F150. For some reason my turn signals and stop lights dont work. I check all the fuses and the flasher. and as for the brake light I replaced the switch on the pedal. none of that help.
What could it be?
Also I got som fuel gauge problems. it reads beyonf full at all times. I replaced the gauge and it is still doing the same thing. could it be something in the gas tank?

With so many things wrong at once, it could be as simple as a ground. Should be pretty easy to troubleshoot since it's all of them. Concentrate on the lights and you might find that the guage fixes itself.
the only thing is with the fuel gauge is that once I start to get low on gas it drops down to E. then I know I got about 20-30 miles left in gas. what could be causing that?
That's an anti mooch device that ford built in to help out their loyal customers.
Mooch: "hey dude, can you run me in to town to get some cigarettes"?
Loyal Customer: "Sorry dude, out of gas".
Mooch (without the device):"C'mon dude, you got a quarter tank"!!!
Mooch (with device): "Damn!! Guess I better ask Bubba."
Fix your lights and count your blessings.
