You guys with the trucks with no title or registratoin think you have problems, I dont even have a vin plate, Im not sure of the year, the truck has diferent parts from other years.Im told its a 59.So to get it registerd is going to be hard. But when I finish building it Ill have a great rust proof truck that I cant drive. The reason it will be rust proof is cause I have a sandblasting buisness and I us a thing called Rust Block Sealant, its not like all these rust preventotive things that clame to stop rust but are a joke. Iv sand blasted a trucks panels ,put on the block and no paint, you can see the bare metal throuh the block, its that thin. The truck has been out in the weather for 6 months now,With no rust coming back. This stufe is great. Ill post some photos of my 59 when I get the film developed. I thought of leaving the truck bare metal,it would be a real conversation piece.Larry
Hi,
From the serial number you posted, it looks as though your truck may be Canadian. Unfortunately, I can't de-code them at this time. The first character of a U.S. vin # would be an "F".
Someone (I beleieve it may have been "mercuryblues") had posted a link to some great Canadian Mercury and Ford info on here not to long ago. I'll see if I can find it and hopefully they will have some de-coding info there.
