I would like to replace my carpet with a vinyl floor, to be honest i dont know why any truck or vehical would have a carpet floor. Anyone know how much or where to get a vinyl floor covering for my truck other then direct from ford?
I know its not what you asked, but I'm really happy with the Husky vinyl custom (semi)fit floor liners from Cabelas etc
My sons and I hunt, fish, snowboard, off road, camp, everything, and it keeps the carpet under them in perfect condition. Melting snow, everything is kept within the molded shape of them. Rinse off with a hose when needed.
Then if you want to, you take out the Husky's and put the carpet floor mats that came with the truck and you're a fancy boy. :-)
But, I guess you have already considered the Husky's.
i have those nice Nifty Catch-all floor mats but i am in mud all the time and no matter what i still seem to get mud all over the side by the door sill. its unbelivable lol.
I took the carpet out of my XLT and had the cap floor sprayed with Line-X bed liner. It is bullet proof. The charged me about $150, as long as I brought the cab in with the carpet and seats (except drivers) already removed. Worked out very well.
HA! The dealer thought I was just being a cheapo for not wanting carpet. The only options I wanted on my truck were A/C and a 4.10 LS rear. I ended up with cloth seat, roof lights, and snow plow prep too, but I was dead set on no carpet, and no stickers on the paint.
Incidentally, I should be taking delivery of my new baby later this morning, and hopefully wrenching on it by next weekend.
