Are the fender flares on the Lariat and the two tone FX4 painted or does the color go clear though the plastic? As best I can tell they appear to be a solid colored plastic and not painted. I live on a gravel road and the fine gravel chips the h--- out of painted flares.

solid colored plastic. I scratched the hell out of mine earlier this week 4wheeling and the color is black in the scratches as well
