Hey Dudes, this is my very first post, and I have a question. I just changed my oil and filter on my 2001 7.3 powerstroke, and I forgot to fill up the filter with oil. When I started the engine, it took maybe ten seconds for the oil pressure gauge to show pressure, could I have possible damaged the engine?
If you post your question in the 7.3l forum you will get more responses: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum31/
However I would say - for only 10seconds it shouldn't be an issue, however don't forget to top up the oil now, as some will be in the filter.
