airbag code 2-7

I have read several post and determined that my airbag code 2 - 7 is a burnt out bulb on the warning system. I know this because I had an infant in the front seat for two years with the light on and now it is off and flashing the code. Anyway, where can I get a replacement bulb. I read a post about using a led and a resistor, but I would like to just replace the bulb with an identical one. Any idea where to get one.

Thanks,
Dennis Duval

If you can solder, a replacement from Radio Shack costs less than two bucks.

If you can't solder, you'll have to purchase the whole PAD assy from a ford dealer.

Dennis it is EASY EASY to replace that bulb. That was the first thing that I had to do to my 01. I have the Radio Shack part number for the bulb at home. I'll post it later tonight if no one else comes along with it. You could probably search for it in the fourum too. The whole switch form ford was $93 when mine went out. Repacement bulb from R. S. was $1.48.

Are there any worries about the airbag blowing when replacing the bulb.
