1994 explorer/ v-8

hello, i have a friend that claims that motor will run for short time roughly, blows the vacuum lines off then die. at this time that is all of the info i have does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this problem.owner for some reason thinks it could be egr valve plugged but my guess seems to lean toward bad rings or pvc blocked. i have experienced a number of motor problems but vacuum lines blowing off are a first for me. any ideas????? thanks

Never heard of a 94 with a V8 but what does cause the vacuum lines to get blown off is a bad modulator valve.

thanks for the reply. first let me redeem myself no v8! 4.0 v6 error code 327: egr related.this question should have never been posted my better judgment said don't! unless you want to look like a *******! i should of stuck with the old saying " you just can't fix stupid!!! " and ran!
